The Montana Youth Symphony strives to unite young musicians, provide them opportunity, and celebrate their achievement with Montana.

The Montana Youth Symphony strives to cultivate the value of excellence and a spirit of cooperation in young musicians. We are committed to the principles of access and comprehensive inclusiveness.

Building upon the long tradition of excellence in music education in the State of Montana and with the support of the Montana Association of Symphony Orchestras, the Montana Youth Symphony strives to provide generations of young musicians with an opportunity to return home to perform in their home state. It is our hope that performances by the Montana Youth Symphony will uplift and inspire audiences statewide, through performances of the highest caliber.

Who You Are

The Montana Youth Symphony is intended for current and former students of Montana schools (including home-schooled students) and universities.

The orchestra members will be teens and young adults.

Participants do not need to currently reside in Montana.

The Montana Youth Symphony was created by a group of dedicated community leaders and musicians who wish to provide Montana's young musicians with the opportunity to perform in their home state in a youth orchestra of the highest caliber.
